Privacy Policy

Effective September 2, 2026

Forkast is published by TBA WESTCOAST LLC under the Arbor Intelligence brand. Forkast turns photos of food in your fridge, freezer, pantry, or counter into family meal suggestions.

Forkast has no login screen and does not require your name, email address, or phone number. It creates an anonymous account on first launch so your preferences, scan history, and subscription status can work across the app.

Information we process

• An anonymous account identifier that is not tied to a direct personal identifier.
• Food photos you choose to submit for a scan.
• Family settings, scan results, identified ingredients, generated meals, favorites, plans, dinner feedback, and product interactions needed to operate and improve the app.
• Subscription status supplied by Apple and RevenueCat. We do not receive or store payment-card details.

How photos and app data are used

Submitted food photos are uploaded through Supabase and sent to Anthropic only to identify ingredients and generate meal suggestions. Forkast deletes uploaded photos after processing and does not retain them in scan history.

Results and preferences are stored with your anonymous account to show history, tailor meals, and unlock paid features.

Service providers

• Supabase provides anonymous authentication, database hosting, edge functions, and temporary photo storage.
• Anthropic analyzes submitted food photos and generates ingredient and meal results.
• Apple processes App Store payments. RevenueCat manages Forkast Family subscription status tied to the anonymous account.

Our privacy commitments

• We do not run ads or track you across other companies' apps or websites.
• We do not sell personal information.
• We do not use your photos to train AI models beyond the scan for which they were submitted.

Recipe website measurement

On recipe pages, we count page views and App Store link clicks by day, recipe, and campaign. These aggregate counters do not store IP addresses, cookies, visitor identifiers, or app account identifiers. We honor browser Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals for these counters. Counts measure website actions, not installs or individual people.

Retention and deletion

Food photos are deleted after scan processing. Scan history, preferences, subscription status, and anonymous account data remain until you delete the account.

To delete the account and associated server data, open Forkast, go to Family, scroll to Account, choose Delete my data & account, and confirm. Uninstalling alone does not send a deletion request.

Children, security, and your rights

Forkast is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export personal information. We use encrypted connections and provider access controls, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
